February 2nd, 2000 -- Clove Break
Alas' booth is modeled on the booth I used to work in when I was a deejay for my college radio station. It was about the cheapest booth you could find that still operated, but man, it was plastered from floor to ceiling with promotional stickers I still haven't been able to find copies of.
I really used to do that, by the way-- slip out for a smoke while Peter Murphy and the gang filled in for me. 1000 Homo DJs' version of "Supernaut" was good for the same thing.

Alas will be back for the month of October. How can I let a Halloween go by without her?

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.
