August 2nd, 2000 -- Makeover
After drawing Alas with bi-colored hair in the dream sequence, I was impatient to start drawing her like that in the waking world. Took months to get the storyline up to the point that I could introduce the change. I would toy with the idea of changing it again from time to time, but five years later it's pretty much the same.

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.
