Most gamers, given enough time, could describe their experiences with their favorite publisher as if discussing a tempestuous relationship with a real person. Yeah, they're a gaming company, but their product is feeding directly into the fantasies that dominate our free time. When their books match our high but admittedly bizarre expectations, the result is literally (literarily?) a dream come true. When a new supplement falls short, it's like, "You don't care anymore! You just want my money, you pervert! What happened to us?" And yet, we keep going back...

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.

Day 8 of this ruddy cold, and little sleep last night due to coughing. If a strip for Monday goes up, it's most likely to happen on Tuesday.
