March 7th, 2001 -- Growing Up Goth crossover, part V
Original Babbler for 3/7/2001: Many thanks to Ms. Laser for making this little crossover experiment possible, and hopefully we'll continue to see more of Starla Rae back in her home environment. A new story arc for "Alas" begins on Friday-- not a very big
or important one, but a good way to spend St. Patrick's, probably.
New Babbler: I'd really like to see what's become of Starla Rae. She'd be, what, a middle schooler now? Junior high? Prime angst territory. If I went back and did a flashback of Alas in junior high, would it be too derivative of the long defunct G.U.G.?

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.

Day 8 of this ruddy cold, and little sleep last night due to coughing. If a strip for Monday goes up, it's most likely to happen on Tuesday.
