March 31st, 2001 -- Nocturnal habits
Original Babbler for 3/31/2001: I'm on a J-pop kick today, mixing anime soundtracks back to back with more typical gothic fare: Clan of Xymox with the image album for Shojo Kakumei Utena, Acumen with Key the Metal Idol, that sort of thing. What stranger combinations await? I know that Faith No More goes perfectly with The Nightmare Before Christmas (and if you don't believe me, play "Sally's Song" followed immediately by "Everything's Ruined"). The search for the ultimate culture clash/inclusion continues.
New Babbler: Back when I had regular access to "the club," I would occasionally stay out so late that I'd convince myself there was no point in trying to get any sleep before work-- yeah, dance the night away! The days that followed inevitably sucked.

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.

Day 8 of this ruddy cold, and little sleep last night due to coughing. If a strip for Monday goes up, it's most likely to happen on Tuesday.
