April 4th, 2001 -- Nic's rundown
Original Babbler for 4/04/2001: I received a couple awesome items in the mail today. The first was a book of Cranes song lyrics, which will clear up some mysteries that have persisted for nearly a decade. The second was the brand new CD (and a matching vinyl) by
The Naptown Amplifier Company. Woohoo! Naptown Amplifier Company! Naptown Amplifier Company! Indie rock at its best, folks.
New Babbler: I think this strip is the first time I actually drew anything on the shelves in Nic's shop (operating in the same location for over a year!). You'd think I'd give a professional tailor more changes of costume, though.

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.

Day 8 of this ruddy cold, and little sleep last night due to coughing. If a strip for Monday goes up, it's most likely to happen on Tuesday.
