My wife has commented on several occasions about the truly epic amount of time it takes me to properly lace up a pair of Grinders. After years of performing tedious tasks like that, lacing up one's boots is no longer a chore, but a zen-like morning ritual that is done automatically while watching the morning weather report on CNN.
I'd like to take this chance to warn you, oh dedicated reader, that I'm having trouble with my DSL service. This means that while I can manage Alas from off-site, uploading new strips (which are already drawn, I swear) is going to take a little prestidigitation. So, there's a small chance of a dealy, but since I know about the problem this far in advance, the chance is small. Just letting you know.
Just got a copy of the soundtrack to Wicked, by the way. It's not The Fantasticks, but it's pretty good.
Loathing-- Unadulterated loathing!

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.

Day 8 of this ruddy cold, and little sleep last night due to coughing. If a strip for Monday goes up, it's most likely to happen on Tuesday.
