For those of you just joining the story, Alas lost a bit of her stomach during an unfortunate incident in Bulgaria. Also, Nic's juggling ability was established back during a croquet duel in DC.
I'm still pretty happy with how this turned out, mainly because I think I've solved my speech bubble troubles. However, I think I'm going to lay off the fat marker for the next one.

Within 24 hours, Bauhaus releases a new album (inspiring my inner black-hearted Goth), and Gary Gygax passes away (crushing my inner magic-user geek). What up with that, world?

I'm getting better-- the arrival of nearly 40 lbs. of temple oranges bodes for the return of full health. I'm genki enough that I'm trying out some really weird things this week-- expect amateur attempts at illustration stunts instead of plot. The blue pencil really has me trying things out.
